Tony's Story

Born in the city of Philadelphia and working at my Fathers auto service station I met many interesting people at a very early age. Most of those folks were musicians of diversified backgrounds. My first instrument was a A late 50’s Gibson L-5 CES-T guitar given to my father by a friend. Once my Pop found out what it was worth he sold it, but dang I loved that instrument. Dad, (perhaps feeling somewhat guilty), purchased a brand new Musette upright piano. Man I was living large. While my friends were playing baseball I was practicing the piano…at 8 years old. I began to take lessons and never stopped until I was about 18, which at that point in time I was graduating High School. It was now time to find some real musicians, which turned out to be a more difficult task then I had ever imagined. I needed artists…folks that felt like me, thought like me, you get the picture. I finally found those people whom turned out to be life-long friends. We had a very successful career on the road for many years and the rest is history.

I have spent about 45 years of my life on the road playing music, all the while working odd jobs and raising 3 of the best children any man could possibly dream of having. Being on the road does have its downsides. As much as It sounds like a great time, (and it often was), it takes a devastating toll on family life. Around 1998 I had to throw in the towel and be a “regular guy”.

Yeah…”regular guy”! Not Me!! I have ever since kept a hand in writing music, engineering recordings, playing in the studio, and currently I am moving forward with a new Analog Project, aside from my current broadcasting responsibilities on WDNF-Philly.
